I was absolutely gobsmacked that on the anniversary of Sept. 11, Coast Reporter would choose to run an article such as John Gleeson's on its editorial page.
His speculation and innuendo seem drawn from the murkiest corners of the Internet and the quacks who abound there. The tone of smug certainty and righteousness makes me feel sick to my stomach.
Debating the factual accuracy of his unsupported allegations would only play into his hands and those of his ilk. All that is left is to register a note of protest in the name of reason.
