I am confused. The Gibsons Community Building Society (GCBS) states that it is a not-for-profit group. I noted a full-page colour ad in last week’s paper pleading for money for the Gibsons Public Market, a project of the GCBS.
I don’t know of any not-for-profit group that can afford such a luxury. Perhaps the Town of Gibsons should look after its present assets (like the library and swimming pool) before supporting this group.
Is there any business using the Gibsons Public Market not seeking a profit?
