Fran Pen a concern

I drive along Francis Pen-insula Road weekly, and I am concerned about the lack of any safe sidewalks along this road. Allow me to explain some of the most serious areas of concern.

Starting where Lagoon meets Francis Peninsula, the road is covered with leaves and rocks that make it difficult for people to use the sidewalk. As you continue around the first hill, there is a barrier on the right-hand side. You must cross the road to walk on the side opposite the barrier. This is difficult because of the blind corner, and because there is a huge rocky ledge on that side. This corner is frequently cut by drivers who have no choice but to give pedestrians a safe walking distance.

At what the locals call Crosby's Corner, the potholes have been filled in many times, but vehicles continue to dig up the loose gravel. The yellow line is very faint, and there is debris on both sides. After the blind hill, there is a bush on the right-hand side. You must cross the street to avoid the bush, even though there is a ditch on the other side.

I understand that repaving the roads and erecting sidewalks would be costly; however, there are measures that must be taken to ensure that no accidents will happen because of unsafe road conditions.
