Editor: Re: Islanders consider float option (Coast Reporter, May 1)
It is noted in this article that these folks "have trouble getting a firm idea from B.C. Ferries on what the biggest concern about the float is." I'll bet that B.C. Ferries do not want the general public using their dock facilities for the exact same reason that the Islanders do not want the general public using their dock facilities. Each of these facilities were built for use by their owners to conduct their own business, not to serve the general public as a convenience.
