Another spring has rolled around, as we knew it would. Another summer lurks around the corner with water shortages and drought conditions. Again nothing has been done to alleviate the situation. Are our elected councillors so barren of valid ideas and imagination that all they can do is endlessly talk about it?
Why were they elected if they can’t solve our problems; isn’t that in their job description, isn’t that their raison d’être? Perhaps they’re waiting for the senior governments to step in and solve their problems for them – then they can claim the credit at election time. If so, I’ve got news for them. That ain’t going to happen, not in this lifetime. After all, you made the mess, now quit sitting on your hands and clean it up. The populace is getting restless and reaching for the pitchforks and yellow vests.
