Re: “Voyageur Brigade arrives in Sechelt,” June 16.
On behalf of “the only boat that needed assistance,” I want to express my gratitude to the SAR 12 volunteer crew who assisted in our return to Porpoise Bay. We don’t realize how dedicated these members are until we see them in action, helping stranded people on the water requiring help. Our problem was a radiator hose that burst and lost the coolant – another one of many lessons to be learned. This day the water was fairly calm and it made me realize how much more difficult the crew’s job would be under adverse conditions. Your dedicated volunteering is greatly appreciated.
