Last Friday (June 21) at the Horseshoe Bay terminal my seven-year-old granddaughter and I had to wait 50 minutes outside the toll booth because of the 10-minute cut off time before the "scheduled sailing time" - plus the ferry was 40 minutes late.

No word was said about how long we would be sitting there, either.

We could have handled this but there was not a restroom on that side of the toll booth. My poor granddaughter had an accident and sat there cold, wet and humiliated until we could get through to a washroom and change her clothes.

I called BC Ferries to tell them if they are making people wait that long, there should be a porta potty at least. They took my name and number - and guess what? - absolutely nothing.

Nice one, BC Ferries.
