Editor:
Reading about the Sechelt budget in last week’s paper (“Projected Sechelt tax hike nears 13%”), I could not believe that council would approve $25,000 for buying a boat and a motor. No mention of maintaining, mooring and operating Darnelda’s boat that will cost the taxpayers a lot of money.
Maybe I am just old, but it seems common sense is not working very well in Sechelt. What’s next? A wood splitter and trailer?
