Change old stove

Letters

Editor:

Due to wildfires both local and international, Environment Canada has issued a Special Air Quality Statement this week for most of B.C., including the Sunshine Coast. “Individuals may experience symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath. Children, seniors, and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk.”

Similar conditions are an unfortunate and daily reality in colder months for neighbours of homes heated by wood burning.

Be a good neighbour. There are still rebates available for changing out your old stove and heat pumps are ideal here. For more information, please contact [email protected].
