While it is important to consider cannabis demographics and widespread use of cannabis among elders, it is essential to look at the future (our youth) in our communities as a public concern and a policy priority as we approach the full legalization and regulation of cannabis on Oct. 17.
Parents’ and grandparents’ perspectives on adolescent cannabis use can help educators provide a significant viewpoint on preventing or delaying youth use and may offer the “best preventive” approach in discussions about the potential consequences of legalization and youth.
