This morning at 8 a.m. on Sept. 21, I tried to do my recycling at the IGA drop off area in Gibsons and I found a disgusting display of boxes, papers, egg cartons, bottles, cans, plastics, ect. scattered about the area, due to lack of space provided for said items.
Due to non support and direction for our Gibsons Recycling Depot, we now have this unsightly mess in our shopping centre parking lot for all to see. This must really impress our tourists and new visitors who could become residents of the Sunshine Coast.
As a tax payer, I am devastated that our elected officials do not support a 'green business,' but rather cheap garbage haulers who do so when ever they get around to it. Please bring back our recycling depot and show you care about our environmentand our community.
