Much has been written criticizing BC Ferries Corporation, and most of it is well deserved.
There is, however, one thing I would like to bring to your attention and that is the boorish anti-social behaviour of many ferry passengers. I am referring to the sizeable number of passengers who think it perfectly acceptable to put their (likely dirty) footwear up on the Deck 5 seats, where people sit.
I doubt very much that they would like it if I came into their home and put my dirty shoes on their living room couch or chairs.
So why do they think it OK to do exactly that on our ferry?
I find this sort of behaviour utterly disgraceful, but in this day and age, it is no surprise, as selfishness rules the day and respect for one’s fellow citizens seems to take a back seat.
