Editor:
Once again Coast Reporter has taken me on a roller coaster of emotions.
First John Gleeson’s excellent editorial had me rushing out the door to expose my bare buttocks and other sundry body parts at the local elementary school in the cause of Art. Unfortunately my companion persuaded me that this could be misconstrued, and besides which the low temperatures would not show me in the best light.
Then the Agony of an artist and his partner over people not understanding his desire to transform a wrecked boat into a piece of art gripped me until I remembered that classic John Cleese rant depicting an architect’s struggle with “non-creative garbage” for not understanding the apartment building/abattoir concept he had created.
Well done for a brilliant belated April Fool’s joke.
Truly life imitating art.
