Be careful what you ask for

As a person who has a valid handicapped parking permit, I feel I am justified in speaking out. I rarely use my permit as I feel there are many people in far greater need than me, and it really bothers me that some people feel they can use these special parking spaces for their convenience.

I confronted one young, able-bodied man and asked him why he was parked in a handicapped parking space. His answer was that he was only there for a few minutes. To him, and all the others who use these spaces without thought, I will respond, "That's too bad, I have this condition for a lifetime."

Be really careful what you ask for when you abuse the privileges awarded to those who need them.
