Editor:
I do not travel that often on the ferry, but every time I do, I am appalled at the anti-social, boorish behaviour of the many passengers, of all ages, who seem to think it perfectly acceptable to put their feet, still shod in shoes and boots – likely dirty – up on the seats.
Would they do the same thing at home? I very much doubt it.
To put one’s feet up on the seats shows great disrespect to the ferry staff, who likely have to clean up on a continual basis, and to fellow passengers.
I suppose it is symptomatic of the me first, last and in the middle selfish attitude so prevalent in today’s society.
