Editor:

I am pleased we are moving forward with dual-language road signs on the Coast. Thank you for your coverage of this. I have admired this signage elsewhere in B.C. and it is past time to acknowledge this land and those who have been here thousands and thousands of years. I expect there will be outrage. Some of us are old and change is hard. It is particularly hard when we have been educated to believe in a false history of our country and the original peoples. Some fought hard against renaming the Queen Charlottes, but Haida Gwaii has become a familiar and respected acknowledgment. This will happen here. Slowly for some.
