I would like to take this opportunity to give heartfelt thanks to the unsung heroes of the SCRD infrastructure department (waterworks). These dedicated men and women worked under incredibly difficult circumstances – not, by the way, of their own making – to keep the water running during the Stage 4 crisis.
They often had to sacrifice personal time and energy to fulfill their duties above and beyond the call. They had to suffer public scrutiny and sometimes harassment in a situation that was conspired by Mother Nature and politics. Thanks again from the grateful public.
