I would like to express my deepest appreciation to everyone involved in the fundraiser for my husband Frank McElroy, held at the Roberts Creek Legion on June 15. That includes all those who donated items for the raffle, such as the Gumboot Restaurant and the Rogue Festival, and contributed to the 50/50 draw. These events raised $1,008 while another $1,150 came in as donations.
Many thanks to all of you for your generosity, kindness and support, especially those who attended the event and visited with Frank. Your chats with him gave him such energy, he ended up staying for three hours, which was astounding. That alone made the whole evening for me. The ongoing love and care we’ve received from our community in response to Frank’s palliative condition remains a remarkable gift. We can’t thank you enough.
