A job well done

Letters

Editor:

Kudos to the District of Sechelt for all it has done during the past year to improve the public spaces in Sandy Hook. A decrepit staircase down a difficult slope leading from Coracle Drive to the beach has been replaced. It is the only waterfront location in our community with a southwest view toward Sechelt.

In 2016 fallen trees damaged and obstructed the trail that connects Porpoise Drive to Tillicum Bay Road. A new and more extensive staircase and bridge over Davis Brook have made this charming passageway toward Tuwanek safer.

Sandy Hook Park has also been upgraded by selectively pruning dangerous limbs and improving the sight lines toward the beach and ocean.

Neighbourhood walks contribute greatly to my quality of life, and I appreciate each of these projects.
