A job that I love

Letters

Editor:

When my husband and I moved to the Coast over two years ago, one of my biggest goals was to find a job that I loved. I had spent many years in the rat race of corporate America and was disheartened by the impersonal environments.

Over a year ago, I became Len Wrays Moving & Storage’s office manager. I was pleased to have a job that was void of company politics or obsessed with upselling. I’m still in awe of what this job gives me on a daily basis.

Len Wrays Moving & Storage celebrates 50 years of business this week. That really hits me in the heart. I have witnessed the actual blood, sweat and tears that it takes to be part of this small company – from our van foreman, Brian, who consistently sets the bar of service on the top rung of the ladder to our movers who give six days a week and countless hours to moving precious, sentimental and personal belongings for residents of our community. We work tirelessly to provide stellar service with pride and passion. I couldn’t have found a more respectful, fun, protective and unified team of coworkers.

The icing on the cake each day are the owners, Romeo and Margo Lizee. Their generosity is bigger than anything I’ve ever seen. They put the health and well-being of their employees above everything, and they make this company a fun place to be.

Romeo has become a role model to me. He demands and demonstrates honesty, integrity, commitment and passion in everything he does.

This company embodies everything I hoped to be part of when I moved here. I am beyond proud to be a part of celebrating 50 years of amazing service to the Sunshine Coast!
