Editor: I agree that pedestrians have the right of way, but they have a responsibility too. When they are out walking at night, a bit of reflective material on their black clothing might help them be seen by the drivers in cars.

The following letter was sent to Premier Christy Clark and copied to Coast Reporter. Dear Premier Clark: As a resident of Gibsons, on the Sunshine Coast, of course I'm unhappy with the direction BC Ferries has been taking.

Editor: It would seem reasonable that the Gibsons town council must be checking things like availability of water, sewer capacity and garbage collection for The George Hotel.

Editor: I was surprised to read Ian Jacques' editorial and his seemingly unconditional support of the George condo and hotel proposal (Coast Reporter, Jan. 17).

Editor: The level of rhetoric over the cancellation of a once-a-week early Sunday morning ferry run in the winter season seems a bit much.

Editor: Although BC Hydro's deadline to force us all into compliance has passed, there are still options for those who don't want a WHO-declared possible carcinogen emitting radiation 24/7 in their most private spaces, their homes.

Editor: For years I've been writing letters to the editor, kvetching about one thing or another.

Editor: John Weston's latest propaganda rag appearing in my mailbox (at our expense!) wants to know what I think, but the space allotted for comments is woefully inadequate -barely room for 30 words, much less 300.

Editor: While visiting a friend in Davis Bay, we experienced a medical emergency.
