The trial of former Gibsons councillor Silas White on charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm, expected to be held next month, has been rescheduled.

White was charged in October of 2018 in connection with a single-vehicle accident on Sept. 16 of that year in Gibsons.

He was to go to trial on the charges starting on Nov. 13.

The trial has now been set for three days starting April 28, 2020.

This is the second time the trial has been rescheduled. The first rescheduling was to avoid a conflict with another hearing. Crown counsel said the reason for the second delay is that White has hired a new lawyer.
