Well-known Sunshine Coast cannabis activist and entrepreneur Michelle Sikora has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Maxim magazine covergirl contest.

The 48-year-old said she entered the contest “on a whim” with pictures from a boudoir photo shoot she did for her husband’s birthday and was voted up from 37th to first in her group within two days.

In her online profile for the contest, Sikora lists her secret talent as being “a master medicinal cannabis grower and urban homesteader.”

“We currently have 72 varieties of fruit, 24 types of flowers and herbs for tea and every vegetable you could want including some very unique varieties,” she wrote.

Sikora said if she wins she’ll donate some of the $25,000 cash that comes with the title to the SPCA and use the rest for a vacation and “home improvements on my paradise.”

As of July 9, Sikora was sitting eighth in her quarterfinals group.
