Local governments proclaim Pride Month

Laurie Lesk of the Sunday in the Park with Pride Society was in Gibsons June 4 to receive the Town’s official proclamation of Pride Month.

Gibsons council also heard that materials are now on order and contractors have been booked to install rainbow crosswalks at the Five Corners intersection in the Landing sometime in the next few weeks.

Sechelt Mayor Darnelda Siegers made a similar proclamation the following day.

Sunday in the Park with Pride is June 23 at Mission Point Park, but events are taking place all month around the Coast.
