Leech was executive director and coordinator for the Roberts Creek Community School Society for 20 years and served as director for the Health Canada-funded Mind the Gap project.

If elected, Leech wants to include social and emotional learning goals in the strategic plan, in addition to environmental literacy. “I think if we had a regional approach with the district about environmental literacy, it would be a better use of the resources,” she said.

She also said she wants to emphasize collaboration when working at the board table.
