The U15A Blues captured gold at the Kerry Park Remembrance Day weekend tournament in Mill Bay on Vancouver Island, going 4-0 through round robin play with a combined 28 goals for while surrendering 0 goals against.

The Blues met a tough opponent in Triport from northern Vancouver Island in the semi-finals in a back and forth match that ended in a 5-4 win for the Blues, punching their ticket to the finals to face the only other undefeated team: the Cowichan Capitals. The Tier 2 team out of Duncan proved a tough match and the Blues took a 2-0 lead into the ice clean at the half way point of the game. The Blues then poured it on in the second half, clinching the championship game 6-1 at the final buzzer!

A true team effort all around, the Blues had the most potent offence and the stingiest defence to go along with great goaltending when it mattered the most in the elimination round.

The Blues want to thank the coaching and safety staff along with our management team and all the parents and family members who made the trek to the island.

It was a great weekend of hockey action where hopefully memories were made to last a lifetime!
