Music and visuals converge in Vertical Human // Horizontal World

The Sunshine Coast Film Society will present Rams, an Australian comedy/drama at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3 at the Gibsons Heritage Playhouse and 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Raven’s Cry Theatre in Sechelt.

Overall in 2024, the department received 381 callouts, which is up from 326 in 2023, but down from 407 in 2022. “Call volume is expected to rise over the next few years,” said fire chief Rob Michael’s quarterly report to Gibsons committee of the whole, held Jan. 21.

Over the entire year in Gibsons, there were 1,416 calls for RCMP service.
