Burglars in residence scared off by sleeping homeowners

On July 1, two to three males entered a residence in the 500 block of South Fletcher Road, while the occupants were asleep. According to Sunshine Coast RCMP, the homeowner awoke and confronted the males who fled from the residence.

Body found off Gower Point now identified

UPDATE as of 9:30 a.m. July 13: The Sunshine Coast RCMP have identified the deceased male located in the water off Gower Point in Gibsons on Monday evening as 52-year-old David Matthew Seward of Gibsons.
