The youth charged with arson following the massive June 2010 fire in Lower Gibsons pled guilty to two counts of arson in provincial court on Monday.

Crown counsel Trevor Cockfield said the case has now been adjourned pending a pre-sentence report and a psychiatric report. The sentencing hearing in the case has been set for Feb. 6, 2012.

As the youth is a young offender, his name cannot be published.

The fire the youth set while skipping school destroyed Coles Marine Diesel and the Wynken Blynken Nod Backpackers B&B, two heritage buildings on the Gibsons waterfront.
