Woodfibre LNG community forum

Howe Sound

West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country MP Pam Goldsmith-Jones is holding a series of community meetings about the Woodfibre Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project, including one in Gibsons on Feb. 29 at the Heritage Playhouse from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Sunshine Coast constituents are invited to the meeting to share their views on the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency’s public report on upstream greenhouse gas emissions associated with the proposed Woodfibre LNG Project.

The report, prepared by Environment and Climate Change Canada, can be reviewed at www.ceaa-acee.gc.ca (reference number 80060). The entire environment assessment report on the proposed project was prepared by BC Environmental Assessment Office as part of a substituted environmental assessment process and can be found at www.eao.gov.bc.ca.

While Goldsmith-Jones is holding the community meetings to hear the views of her constituents, formal submissions should be made to Woodfibre@ceaa-acee.gc.ca by March 1.
