What's the overturned machinery in West Sechelt?

Travellers on Highway 101 in West Sechelt may be wondering about the overturned machinery near Seaview Lane. 

RCMP has said they're investigating the theft of a rock drill on a low-bed trailer. According to the police, the rock drill was stolen from Trout Lake Road early Jan. 31 and fell off the trailer around the 6700 block of the Sunshine Coast Highway in West Sechelt. 

At noon, RCMP arrived on scene – the trailer's whereabouts are still unknown.

RCMP are asking anyone travelling in the area of Trout Lake Road and the Sunshine Coast Highway who may have seen the truck and trailer or who has dash cam video of the area between 11:30 a.m. and noon on Jan. 31 to contact police. The reference file is 2024-668.
