On April 26, a thief gained entry into a residence in the 6300 block of Jasper Road. The point of entry was determined to be an unlocked lower level window. A number of small items were stolen, including a laptop, cell phone chargers, digital, film and video cameras, a TV remote and jewellery.

A possible impaired driver was caught driving through a roadblock on Highway 101 near Monkeytree Lane. The driver had an open alcoholic beverage in her possession, but denied she had been drinking. The driver failed a roadside alcohol-screening test and was given a 90-day driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. Because the driver was a Class 7 driver with conditions of no alcohol, she was also issued a violation ticket.

An iPod Touch was lost sometime in Lower Gibsons the week of April 9. The iPod Touch 4 was a 64GB in purple case with a translucent butterfly on the back and had a set of white Apple headphones attached.

Sometime before April 26, a number of items were stolen from an address in the 13500 block of Lee Road. The thieves did not break into the residence, but stole a barbecue, four wooden chairs, firewood, a lawn mower and variety of tools from the property.

On April 27, a thief gained entry into a residence in the 4500 block of Highway 101 through an unlocked door and ransacked a bedroom. However, nothing appears to have been stolen.

On April 27, four male youth stole a table and two leather chairs from a business in the 5600 block of Highway 101. Police are reviewing surveillance footage.

A two-vehicle accident occurred in the 4500 block of Highway 101 after a southbound vehicle stopped behind a vehicle that was making a left turn off the highway and was rear-ended by another vehicle. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed and the driver of the stopped vehicle was taken to hospital for minor injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle said he did not see the vehicle in front of him was stopped due to the glare of the sun in his eyes.

A cyclist versus truck accident occurred in the intersection of Gibsons Way and Payne Road after the cyclist heading westbound on Gibsons Way, failed to stop at the red light and rode into the side front quarter of a truck driving southbound on Payne. The cyclist did sustain some minor injuries, but was able to walk away from the collision. The cyclist advised that his brakes failed.

Sometime between May 1 and 2, a thief stole a vehicle that had been parked near the corner of Hopkins and Marine Drive. The blue 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager, BC Licence Plate 755TCR was locked and there were no spare keys left with the vehicle. The file is still under investigation.
