On Oct. 10 a hit and run occurred in the 5600 block of Highway 101. Two vehicles were travelling eastbound when a black truck in the right lane lost control and struck the side of a second vehicle in the left lane, forcing it off-course. The second vehicle struck the median and a sign before coming to a rest in the westbound lane. The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Witnesses saw the suspect vehicle, a later model full size four-door black GMC/Chev pick-up truck with low profile tires, flee the scene after dropping off a male passenger who left on foot.
