After five weeks without a positive COVID-19 case on the Sunshine Coast, two cases were reported for the last week of July, between the 25th and 31st.
During the same week, Powell River reported one new case and two were reported in the Howe Sound area.
Meanwhile, vaccination rates on the Coast are steadily increasing.
As of Aug. 2, at least 50 per cent of Sunshine Coast residents had received their second dose of the vaccine. By age group, between 70 to 88 per cent had received their first shot, and 50 to 82 per cent had both doses.
