Burnaby's Triple Play Improv is bringing their hilarious show to Pender Harbour. The event will help raise money for a new playground for Madeira Park Elementary School (MPES).
The show is Saturday night, April 21 at the Pender Harbour Community Hall at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $20, available at Sunshine Coast Credit Union in Pender Harbour, John Henry's in Garden Bay, Talewind Books in Sechelt and at the door.
Most of the current playground equipment had to be removed as it no longer met safety requirements. So the MPES PAC created a playground committee to begin fundraising for new equipment.
Triple Play Improv is thrilled to help out with this project and is excited to be able to perform in front of a new audience.
Triple Play Improv is composed of three of the original members of the UBC Improv Team and Mock Improv. After some time away from Improv they have reunited to bring laughs to the suburbs of Vancouver. They host regular shows in Burnaby at the Shadbolt Performing Arts Centre and are available for private shows and workshops.
Most performing groups are based in Vancouver. Triple Play Improv will be focusing their shows on the areas outside of Vancouver. They are bringing the show to the people instead of making the people come to the show. Triple Pay Improv is delighted with the response they have received thus far and are excited to watch improvised theatre in Burnaby and the areas surrounding Vancouver grow.
Triple Play Improv's goal is to create an environment where the audience can have a good time.
