Sunshine Coast RCMP are investigating a deliberate act of mischief in West Sechelt, that saw several newly planted maple trees vandalized sometime over the weekend.
On Monday, May 6, RCMP were advised of the mischief by the District of Sechelt's parks department.
"Six paper-back maples, planted last spring, and located on McCourt Road between Jasper and Piccadilly, were knocked over and damaged sometime over the weekend, along with two stop signs in the area," said Cpl. Steve Chubey.
RCMP are currently investigating the matter and are asking anyone with information to contact Const. Spring Coutts at 604-885-2266 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
