It's now been more than two weeks since the disappearance of Greg Welstead, but Sunshine Coast RCMP are still hopeful he will be found.
The 56-year-old Gibsons man was last seen March 12. His car was found crashed into a tree on Reed Road, but Welstead was nowhere to be found.
RCMP say they were contacted earlier in the day - before Welstead was reported missing - by someone worried about his behaviour, which they described as "out of character." Since a massive ground search wrapped up on March 17, RCMP have completed a review of security video from the Langdale ferry terminal, but without finding any clues.
RCMP are asking anyone with any information to contact them at 604-885-2266 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Welstead's friends and family have also established a Facebook page to aid in the search, it's called: "Missing Person Greg Welstead."
ICBC expanding language services
The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) boasts it will soon be able to offer language assistance for non-English speaking customers in 170 languages.
ICBC announced last week that by the fall of 2012, all 20 of its provincial driver licensing offices would be set up with a telephone-based translation service covering everything from Albanian to Yoruba.
In a press release, Finance Minister Kevin Falcon said the decision to increase translation services was made to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse population.
