Highway 101 is open to single-lane alternating traffic following a motor vehicle incident at Redrooffs Road.
The serious accident, which appears to have involved several vehicles, closed Highway 101 at Redrooffs Road in Halfmoon Bay at about 5 p.m., closing the highway for several hours.
The incident in the 7000 block of the Sunshine Coast Highway had Sunshine Coast RCMP warning drivers to avoid non-essential travel and expect delays earlier in the evening.
Forensic collision reconstructionist with the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) Cpl. Dave Noon posted on X that ICARS was on site, just after 5 p.m.
