On Thursday, May 2, the School District No. 46 board hosted its annual thank you tea for school district donors.

Grad representatives from this year's classes were on hand to assist in the event and to talk to donors. Special guest, past graduate Maize Longboat, spoke to donors about how valuable the assistance he received helped in his education and current graduate representative Jacques Martiquet reiterated how important this financial support is to a student when pursuing his/her post-secondary education.

Donors from many clubs and organizations, businesses and local goverment throughout the Coast attended and were treated to appetizers and refreshments created and served by Tammy Saigeon and her group of Sunshine Coast Alternative School students.

Pianists Stephanie Schweighart and James Flemming provided background music. Trustee Lori Dixon, Pender Hrabour principal Mark Heidebrecht and superintendent Patrick Bocking also thanked donors for providing so many additional opportunities for our youth.
