Following discussion of 2023 grant-in-aid applications at a closed meeting on May 11, the Sunshine Coast Regional District board released decisions on those awards at its May 25 meeting. Thirty-four local organizations were awarded a total of just over $117,000, as follows:

It was noted that a grant submission from the Sunshine Coast Skating Club was not funded as it did not align with the board’s grant-in-aid policy. The board also approved adding mention of which electoral areas contributed to each grant in the award letters sent to the successful groups.
