Dr. Meenakshi Dawar of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) will be replacing Dr. Geoff McKee as the medical health officer scheduled to brief Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) directors on COVID-19 next Thursday.
SCRD staff mentioned the change during a March 19 infrastructure services committee meeting, which was also the SCRD’s first remote live-streamed public meeting.
The March 26 briefing will be available for viewing through online streaming and is still scheduled for the corporate and administrative services committee meeting, which starts at 9:30 a.m.
In late February, directors had invited McKee, VCH medical health officer for the Sunshine Coast, to present information about the potential impact of COVID-19 on the community.
