Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking for the public's help after a pair of weekend break-ins to businesses in the Port Mellon area.

According to police, four male suspects broke into the office and workshop at Fleetwood Forest Products in Port Mellon on Saturday, Nov. 21. Nothing was taken from the business, however, damage was caused inside the office.

The suspects next broke into Coastland Wood Products where they stole two laptop computers and three forestry radios from the office building. The suspects then started up a 980 Caterpillar front end loader and drove it off the lot.

Police were able to recover the machine at a nearby location, but the other stolen items are still outstanding. The suspects used an older model blue ton Chevrolet pick-up truck with a wooden box that was last seen fleeing the area.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact RCMP at 604-885-2266 and quote file number 2009-8506.
