On Oct. 6, the Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of an attempted theft and threats at the Blackfish Liquor Store in Gibsons. The store employee told police that the male suspect had concealed a bottle of liquor down his pants and attempted to walk out of the store. The employee confronted the suspect and seized the bottle from him.
The suspect left the store; however, he returned minutes later when he then threatened the employee with physical harm if he called police. The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his early 20s, with a thin build and wearing a black hoodie, black baseball cap and black sweatpants.
