Sunshine Coast RCMP arrested a 27-year-old Sechelt man for his alleged involvement in a suspected break-in to Deluxe Landscaping on Sechelt Inlet Road, and who maybe connected to several other break-ins in Sechelt.
On the evening of Aug. 16, RCMP responded to a business alarm to Deluxe Landscaping.
"Upon attendance, police confirmed that a break-in had occurred with a laptop and cashbox containing approximately $200 stolen," said Cpl. Steve Chubey. "Police and witnesses reviewed video surveillance of the break-in and identified a suspect."
On Aug. 17, RCMP located and arrested Mitchell Ira Gallagher in connection to the break-in.
"Gallagher is a suspect in another recent Sechelt break-in that police are currently awaiting the results of forensic evidence in order to lay additional charges," added Chubey.
Gallagher was released on an undertaking and will be making an appearance in Sechelt provincial court on Sept. 7 to answer to the charges.
RCMP are asking anyone with information on this or any other area break and enter to call RCMP at 604-885-2266 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
