At 3:20 pm on Thursday, June 30, RCMP staff sergeat Rod Wiebe sent notice that Raymond Wade Cuthbert has been located and arrested.

At 12:05 pm on Thursday, June 30, Powell River RCMP requested the public’s assistance to locate a 47-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest for multiple Criminal Code offences, including aggravated assault, forcible confinement, sexual assault and robbery.
According to a media release, charges against Raymond Wade Cuthbert (also known as Wade Cuthbert), stem from an incident that occurred on June 4 in the 4700 block of Joyce Avenue.
Cuthbert, along with three other suspects, are alleged to have confined a male and a female in a shed in that area and seriously assaulted them.
The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of three males aged 30, 50 and 52. Two of the males have since been released by the courts and one remains in custody.
Cuthbert remains at large. Anyone with any information on his location is asked to contact Powell River RCMP at 604.485.6255.
