June 23; Lund Street
At approximately 8:24 pm, police were making patrols on Lund Street when a vehicle was observed operating with mechanical deficiencies. The vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 39-year-old male from Powell River, was spoken to.
The driver was issued a notice and order to repair the deficient items and the mandatory approved screening device demand was made under the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act. The breath samples obtained registered a fail on the approved screening device.
The driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and a 30-day vehicle impound.
