The Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking for the assistance from the public in identifying a male suspected of stealing a cellular phone on June 19.
According to Cpl. Steve Chubey, the complainant had left her Blackberry at the till of the Shoppers Drug Mart in Sechelt and had returned to find that it was no longer there.
"Surveillance video showed a slender male wearing a grey sweater and ball cap taking the phone from the till," said Chubey. "The complainant called the phone and a male answered and hung up several times, prompting the complainant to call the police."
Police are requesting anyone with information on the identity of this suspect to contact RCMP at 604-885-2266 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-222-TIPS (8477).
