Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking the public's help to apprehend a man allegidly responsible for a break-in to a business in Sechelt.

Early Wednesday morning just after midnight, a male suspect was witnessed exiting the wooden area at the corner of Cowrie Street and Trail Avenue. The suspect crossed Cowrie Street and walked toward Saffron Restaurant at the Trail Bay Mall.

"The suspect broke the side glass door of the restaurant gaining access to the business," said Const. Jacob Joslin. "Once inside, the suspect stole several bottles of liquor and left on foot on Trail Avenue towards Teredo Street. Two male accomplices were seen with the suspect who never approached the restaurant."

The suspect was described as a thin 15 to 16-year-old Caucasian male, wearing a black baseball hat, pale coloured hoodie (possibly gray or green) and black slacks. In addition, a red Ford Focus was seen in the area driving in and out of the alley that runs between the wooded area on Cowrie Street and the Sechelt fire hall. The vehicle is of interest to police.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle of interest is asked to call police at 604-885-2266.
