RCMP arrived, confirmed it was the suspect male and arrested him. He was cooperative with police, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The file is still under investigation.

• Between April 23 and 25, a thief gained access to a business in the 5500 block of Sechelt Inlet Road, Sechelt, by cutting through a fence and stole a Canadian Tire brand car booster and a Predator brand plate compactor. The driver and his two passengers were treated for minor injuries on scene by paramedics and the vehicle was towed. The matter has been referred to ICBC.

• On April 22, an erratic driver was reported southbound on the Sunshine Coast Highway near Largo Road, passing on a double solid line on a blind corner at a high rate of speed. Police located the vehicle at the Langdale ferry terminal. After police spoke with the witness, the driver was issued several violation tickets for his unsafe driving behaviour.
