A 30-year-old Madeira Park woman and her three-year-old daughter were taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Sechelt as a precaution following an accident Monday night in Madeira Park.
Around 6:45 p.m. on Aug. 26, Sunshine Coast RCMP and paramedics were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision on the 11000 block of Sunshine Coast Highway, near Middle Point Road.
"Police spoke to the driver on scene and discovered that the vehicle had been travelling north, was rounding a corner when it felt something pull the vehicle to the right," said Cpl. Steve Chubey in a news release. "The driver over-corrected, crossing the on-coming lane and then off the road left, slamming into a tree. Alcohol or drugs were not a factor; however the driver was unlicenced. The investigation is on-going."
